Eleazar "Ozzie" Strachan is a Johannesburg-based South African singer-songwriter, guitarist, designer, and creative entrepreneur with more than 30 years of experience in music.

Beginning his journey at age 14 in the Eastern Free State, Strachan has grown into a respected travelling troubadour and songsmith, performing across South Africa and abroad, including tours to London and Scotland. His career has included festival appearances, extensive live performances, independent releases, and industry exposure through projects connected to major labels.

With over 500 original songs to his name, his work blends folk, rock, blues, gospel, and storytelling traditions into a distinctive body of songs rooted in South African life and experience.

In addition to music, Strachan is the creator of The Songsmith Notebook, founder of Soapbox: Small Stage, Big Stories, and is involved in creative design and sustainable agriculture projects through Urban Veggies.
